Müge Yalçın is the Founding Partner of MY Executive, an executive search and board advisory firm specializing in senior leadership appointments and board effectiveness. She holds a degree in Business Administration from Boğaziçi University and began her professional career in management consulting at Arthur Andersen. She then spent eight years in corporate finance, holding senior roles at both Turkish and international banks, before returning to Arthur Andersen to lead its Executive Search practice. Following the integration of Arthur Andersen’s operations with EY, she headed Human Resources Consulting practice. In 2005, Yalçın founded MY Executive to meet the growing demand among companies in Türkiye for senior executive talent and independent board members.

Müge Yalçın’s work focuses on building effective and well-structured boards of directors and she oversaw the publication of two books offering comprehensive content on this subject by MY Executive Publications. She led board assignments and board member search projects for a wide range of organizations, while also sharing her expertise through executive education programs, conferences and panel discussions. Under her leadership, MY Executive Publications has produced two books offering practical insights into board composition and effectiveness.

In 2021, Yalçın spearheaded the launch of the Board Strengthening Program (www.myboardmember.com.tr), developed by MY Executive in collaboration with the Corporate Governance Association of Turkey (TKYD). She played an active role in shaping the program and successfully delivering its first five cohorts. Building on more than a decade of work in this field, Yalçın published Yönetim Kurulunu Doğru Oluşturmanın Püf Noktaları (“Key Principles for Building the Right Board”) in 2025. The book expands on the themes she has explored through her board education programs and combines her own perspective with first-hand insights and experiences from prominent business leaders. All proceeds from the book are donated to YenidenBiz, a non-profit organization supporting women returning to professional life.

Yalçın is actively involved in a number of leading professional and civil society organizations. She is a member of PERYÖN, TEİD, TKYD and YDD, as well as the International Women’s Forum (IWF) Türkiye, which promotes and advances women’s leadership.
